I have been thinking for a long time that I would like to write some things to describe my friends around me and let you all guess who I am referring to, it will be fun.
Tonight, I will start with him, it doesn’t matter I reveal the gender of the person or not, cause I think most of my friends who I know very well are boys. Since I will describe their features, characters, strengths or maybe weakness, it maybe quite easier for you to guess who the person is. Ok, let’s start.
Where should I start ? Um, I think this person is very, or I should say he is extremely talkative in the public setting, and scare alone, he will surely die if you stop him talking for a day or put him in a private island for a week! He likes to talk crap and nonsense, either verbally or thought email, he can shoot you an email to just disturb you, and he always praise to himself, in other word, he is very proud of himself. He always thinks that people around him love him so much, he always ask the kids in the church who is your favourite person, then he will point to himself, what a guy man?! Sometime he is grumpy also. Would you dislike or even hate this person? Probably you won’t make friend with this person as he is extremely annoying, right?
Wait a moment, please don’t draw your conclusion yet, I haven’t finished my description about him. The description above is just part of his truth side, he is annoying just because he is playful, his proud sometimes just a glimpse of his confident, actually he know his strength and weakness, he admits the things he cant do and he will definitely will help you if he can do it. Actually, he is a funny guy, a good entertainer to the people around him, you can joke with him or tease him with anything, even his height, oopps , he won’t mind, cause he will surely fight back or just forget about it and don’t keep it himself. You don’t feel stress when you are hanging around with him, but he is forgetful and impatient person, so he is not probably a person that I will pour out my inside feeling and expecting he will understand me deeply but definitely he is the kind of person that I want to know him better and be a friend with. You maybe cheered up by him if you were feeling sad, and he will spend time with you. I still remember in October last year, something happened in my life AGAIN and put me down, he drove us around and having dinner together, I really treasure our friendship. According to my experience with him in serving our Lord, he is a responsible person and you definitely can reply on, but only big & serious things, it is more than good enough. He walks his talk all the time, I really appreciate it. He said he will perform the duty, he will be there and do it well. I can remember what happened in the previous holiday break, I wanted to skip my duty of my ministry for a two day road trip, which I felt very bad to do that, then he told me he will cover my duty and encourage me to take a break among the busyness. I can’t express my thankfulness to him at that moment, but I definitely keep this in my heart for my rest of life not just because his willingness to help, but his heart to serve God, because he understand the importance of that ministry and willing to sacrifice his time to be part of it. Moreover, He treats his friends very well, he likes and enjoy to share his happiness with friends, he generously buy people coffee or lunch when he was following up on members since it is affordable for him; he asks friends out for dinner to celebrate getting a new job; he won’t mind provide transportation even it’s a detour. His willingness to serve God which motivate me as well, he has a heart to take care and concern the young members in OCF, he won’t discuss or even stop some difficult theological conversations for the sake of young members, which may confuse their faith, that’s really good.
